“Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient”.
Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
Hi. I am Eunice Gan. I am just an ordinary person but one whose life journey has been rather extraordinary, with many episodes that have garnered me strength and resilience.
There are a few significant milestones. Overcoming pain and grief from deep disappointments is one. Living alone overseas for many years, and working in an intensely competitive corporate job alongside people of different cultures and backgrounds is another.
A late-career change from corporate sales, marketing and training to emotional wellness coaching is yet another. The most recent must be a return to Singapore after a 30-year absence. Through all these episodes I have garnered strength to manage the change, challenge and crisis that came along in my life. I have found that resilience is a skill that can be learnt and I now want to help people do the same, through emotional coaching.
On a more personal note, I am a Christian, and I enjoy learning, writing, movies, and spending time with friends.
Enough of me. Let us talk about you. Something prompted you to visit here.
Do you feel like you are in a rut, not heading anywhere? Or in a dilemma over difficult decisions? Or has life just thrown you a curveball and you are finding it hard to manage?
I get it – these times and situations can be so difficult. You do not need to be alone in these battles. Talk to someone. Do have a chat with me and let us see how I can help you sort out some things and get you going forward to becoming stronger and more resilient!
The cedar tree is said to be among the first trees in Creation. Mentioned 72 times in the Bible, it has been described as majestic, strong and resilient, graceful, and beautiful. Also, the cedar is one of the most productive of trees – all of its roots, leaves, wood, oil, and fruits can be used to make a wide variety of products.
In selecting the Cedar Tree to symbolize my work in emotional wellness, I want to help people become confident, strong, and resilient to overcome difficult obstacles and challenging times, and in overcoming them, return to calm to lead fruitful and happy lives.
